Mary Kauchuk
0005935598-01-1.jpg 0005935598-01-2.jpg Mary Kauchuk, age 90, of Uniontown, PA, died peacefully on Monday, September 6, 2010, in the LaFayette Manor Nursing Home. She was born on October 13, 1919 in Oliver 3, PA, daughter of Michael and Mary (Vukasovich) Kauchuk.
Her parents, brothers, John, Nicholas, Joseph, and Michael Kauchuk, and a sister, Anna Kauchuk Zaksek, preceded her in death.
Left to cherish her memory is her caring sister who was also her “best friend”, Sophia Kauchuk of Uniontown, PA; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Mary was a member of Saint John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, Uniontown, PA. She retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, where she proudly held the position of Office Manager for many years. Her attention to detail, and making everything “just so”, as well as her gracious spirit and generosity will always be remembered by her family and many friends.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, today, September 8, 2010 from 2-9 p.m. and on Thursday, September 9, 2010 until 9:30 a.m., when the Panachida Service will be held.
A Divine Liturgy will follow at 10 a.m., in Saint John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, Uniontown, PA, with Rev. Father Ronald P. Larko as Celebrant.
Entombment will be held in Mount Macrina Cemetery Mausoleum.
The Parastas Service will be held today at 8 p.m.
