Sims-Barber
United in marriage July 24 were Samantha L. Barber and Vincent A. Sims of Pittsburgh. The ceremony was performed by Pastor David P. Lee at the Riverview United Presbyterian Church.
The bride is the daughter of William S. Williams of Brownsville and the late Mary Ann Barber-Williams.
The bridegroom is the son of John and Verna Sims of Selma, Ark.
Given in marriage by Richard J. Barber, the bride wore an ivory taffeta trumpet gown with high collar, side-drape, button-back details and chapel train, all adorned with beading. A comb headpiece, embellished with rhinestones and fresh water pearls, held a veil of illusion.
Donja Wilson was matron of honor. Bridesmaid was Jennifer P. Gonabe. Donasia Eubanks was the flower girl.
Rashid Kiwanuka was best man. Ushers were Preston McClain, Donovan Williams, Damian Williams and Dymond Williams.
A reception was held at the Mt. Troy Ballroom in Reserve Township.
The bride graduated in 1989 from Brownsville Area High School. She is a medical staff coordinator with The Western Pennsylvania Hospital.
The bridegroom is a 1989 graduate of Monticello High School and is a reporter and news anchor for WPXI Channel 11 news, Pittsburgh.
A wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, is planned.
They are residing in Pittsburgh.
