The state Department of Transportation District 12 said motorists soon will encounter a detour of a section of Route 4006 (New Salem Road) between Scott Road and Krulock Road in Menallen Township so that a bridge can be replaced. A marked detour will be in effect between Sept. 24 and Oct. 1 and will use the following: eastbound – Take Route 166 north (Tower Hill Street) to Route 40 east (Redstone Way/National Pike) to New Salem Road; and westbound – take Route 40 east (National Pike/Redstone Way) to Route 166 South (Tower Hill Street) to New Salem Road.
