Gerald and Karen Pepe of Mount Pleasant announce the engagement of their daughter, Janelle Pepe of Pittsburgh, to Eric Deal of Connellsville, son of J.R. and Marcia Deal of Uniontown. A September 2011, wedding is being planned.

The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Connellsville Area High School and a 2003 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. She earned a master’s degree in 2009 from the same university. She is supervisor of financial reporting and analysis for PPG Industries.

Her fiance is a 1994 graduate of Geibel Catholic High School and a 1998 graduate of St. Vincent College. He is a teacher at Connellsville Area Senior High School.
