Uniontown Lackovic ad consultant

Josephine Lackovic, a 28-year resident of Uniontown, has established herself as a professional advertising consultant in the Uniontown/Fayette County area.

Lackovic explained ads are sold to local businesses, which then appear on placemats, various types of menus, table spinners, trivia pages, flyers or hotel directories, usually in quantities of 4,000 each. Websites also are available. Generally, placemat ads surround a charitable organization centerpiece, she said. There is no charge to the charity or to the restaurants that use them. The first project Lackovic worked on was for the Center of Hope Pregnancy Center in Uniontown. The Salvation Army is the focus of the next 20,000 placemats.

As an independent contractor affiliated with Proof of Life Productions LLC at 525 Collier Road, Uniontown, Lackovic provides personal service, products and a close working relationship with her clients. In continuing service to the Center of Hope, she is holding an indoor/outdoor sale for its benefit, which will be held from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 1 and 2 one mile from Route 119 on Route 40.

For more information about her business and service, call 724-963-5035 or e-mail JAL2680@Atlanticbb.net for a consultation.

Harrisburg Energy rebates still available

Pennsylvania families interested in improving the energy efficiency of their home heating systems can still apply for rebates to cover a portion of the costs, although they should do so quickly while limited funds are still available.

According to the Department of Environmental Protection, all of the $11 million available for the Pennsylvania Home Heating Equipment Rebate Program has been reserved, but some resources may become available as those who reserved funds failed to meet the required 30-day claim period.

The names of interested consumers who apply now will be added to a waiting list. They will be notified with follow-up instructions on how to obtain a reservation number as additional funds become available. All consumers with valid reservation numbers and who meet program requirements are guaranteed to receive rebates.

“Based on the rate of return we have experienced to this point, a limited amount of funding could still be available to consumers who act quickly,” said Environmental Protection Secretary John Hanger.

“More than 5,000 residents have already been reimbursed with thousands more in line to receive rebates. The next heating season is fast approaching. Consumers should act soon before all funding is exhausted, and to have their new, more efficient units in place when they are needed at the first hint of cold weather.”

To be added to the home heating rebate waiting list, and for additional information, visit www.paheatingrebates.com, or call 1-877-592-2061.

The program, funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, offers rebates ranging from $250 to $1,000.
