Evelyn Jane Callahan
Evelyn Jane Callahan, age 76, of Uniontown passed away peacefully on Monday morning, September 20, 2010 in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born December 20, 1934 in Uniontown, Pa, the daughter of the late Joseph Callahan and Evelyn Cassidy Callahan.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her foster parents, Steve and Mary Lophovsky and her brother, James Callahan.
Evelyn was a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church and a 1952 graduate of the former North Union High School. She retired as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone.
She is survived by her special friends: Lydia Youler and husband, Ed and Keith and Nancy Frey; nieces and nephews: Lisa Callahan and Colleen Diple and husband, David and their daughter, Erin.
Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown this evening, September 21, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday morning until 10 am, the Hour of Service with Rev. Father Stephen Bugay officiating.
Interment follows in the St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church Cemetery.
