The Masontown office that provides services for the Women, Infants and Children program (WIC) will close on Feb. 1. Susan Mahokey, project manager at Fayette County Community Action Agency, said the closure will consolidate operations for the county’s three WIC offices. The fewer than 100 clients who receive services in Masontown will be transferred to the office in Uniontown, located at 140 N. Beeson Boulevard. “We surveyed our participants … and they really prefer to come to the Uniontown clinic because of the appointment stability,” Mahokey said, noting that the clinic is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Hanover Township police charged a man this week for allegedly stabbing two people following a concert at The Pavilion at Star Lake. Frank Bonacci, 43, of White Oak, faces felony charges of aggravated assault, and misdemeanors of reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and tampering with evidence. According to the criminal complaint, the stabbing occurred at about 12:45 a.m. Aug. 3 in the Star Lake parking lot. Luke Bryan had performed for a sold out crowd that night.
