Public library features programs for preschoolers

Flenniken Public Library, 102 E. George St., Carmichaels offers preschool story hour every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. for children ages three. Toddler Time, for children three years of age or younger, is held on Fridays at 10:30 a.m. All of the programs feature Pennsylvania’s Early Learning Standards, presenting important educational concepts in entertaining ways, library officials said.

The library also offers after-school tutoring for students in kindergarten through high school. The program is partially funded by a grant from the Greene County United Way. Sessions are customized to fit each child’s learning style.

Students are invited to use the service on a walk-in basis.

. Flenniken Public Library offers free wi-fi and computers for public use in the library.

Library hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
