Mary M. Sickles Simpson, age 98, Smock, Pa. left this earthly life and went to her Heavenly home on Wednesday April 6, 2011, four days shy of her 99th birthday. Her desire was to see Jesus first of all and then the loved ones who have gone on before.

Mary was born Wednesday, April 10, 1912 in Revere, Pa.

Mary attended the Free Methodist Church for over 80 years.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Newton Sickles and Bell McClelland Sickles; her husband Thomas Simpson; a son, Richard Simpson; a daughter, Gayle Durst; two grandchildren and 10 siblings.

Surviving are six children: Delores Marx and Alice Estabrook and husband Leland all of Anchorage, Alaska, Edward Simpson of Venice, Florida, David Simpson and his wife Anita of Concord, North Carolina, Thomas E. Simpson and his wife Alegra of Winterhaven, Florida and Lois Butler of Baltimore, Maryland; 23 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; and brother, Earl Sickles, Revere.

Family will receive Friends in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME at 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue in Uniontown, Pa. today from 4 to 8 p.m.

Visitation will continue on Saturday, April 9, 2011 in the REVERE FREE METHODIST C H U R C H, R e v e r e, Pennsylvania from 10 until 11 a.m. Funeral Services will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dale Sickles and Pastor Roger L. Yeager officiating.

Interment will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
