Joann Fani
Joann Fani, 64, passed away Wednesday morning, April 13, 2011 at the Hospice House, Ohio.
Joann was born May 27, 1946 in Uniontown, Pa., a daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Wilkovich) Pillar.
A homemaker, she volunteered for the Democratic Party, enjoyed cooking and taking care of her home and family.
She was a member of the Greenford Christian Church.
Joann will be sadly missed by her husband Nello Fani, whom she married March 6, 1965; two daughters: Carol (Joseph) Zeock of Canfield and Susan (Jeffrey) Below of Austintown; six sisters: Helen Pillar of Uniontown, Pa., Beverly Trader of Hopwood, Pa., Nancy Stynrajh of Uniontown, Pa., Donna (John) Stoffa of Masontown, Pa., Betsy Mitchell of Uniontown, Pa. and Delores (David) Firnley of Georgia; two brothers: Walter (Devonna) Porter of Uniontown, Pa. and John Pillar of Uniontown, Pa.; two grand-daughters: Marissa and Brittany Zeock; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Joann is preceded in death by a sister Louise Oleksik.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice House in Joann’s memory.
The family would like to thank the staffs of Hospice of the Valley and Hospice House for their care and compassion given to Joann.
Honoring Joann’s request, there are no calling hours. Private funeral services will be held at LANE FUNERAL HOME MINERAL RIDGE CHAPEL.
