Southwest Regional police said someone stole an American Flag from the Coal Center Borough Honor Roll at the intersection of Spring and Water streets Thursday. An item published Monday incorrectly identifed the police as having stolen the flag. The Herald-Standard apologizes for the error.

The Conn-Area Catholic School education programs will move to the new Catholic Education Center located on the Geibel Catholic Campus in Connellsville beginning with the 2011-2012 school year. Also, Conn-Area Catholic School was founded in 1966 as the result of a merger of four area Catholic schools operating in Connellsville. Geibel Catholic School opened its doors in 1966. A story published Tuesday indicated the elementary school would close at the end of the year.

The Student Conservation Association (SCA) works in partnership with the Pennsylvania Environmental Council (PEC) and the Corporation for National and Community Service (AmeriCorps) for the SCA River Town Outreach Corps. For the SCA Trail Town Outreach Corps, SCA has partnered with the Trail Town Program, a project of The Progress Fund, and the Corporation for National and Community Service (AmeriCorps). All Corps members are AmeriCorps volunteers. Information that appeared in an April 10 article did not include all the partnerships.
