Second suspect charged for alleged role in Brownsville shooting incident

By Josh Krysak 1 min read

A Redstone Township man is facing several charges after police allege he lied to investigators after his handgun was used in a shooting in Brownsville April 10.

State police Trooper Christian D. Lieberum said Mark Kevin Jackson, 24, of 802 Hunters Ridge was charged by Magisterial District Judge Mike Defino Jr. with single counts of providing false reports to law enforcement and tampering with physical evidence.

Lieberum said the charges were filed against Jackson after he reported his handgun stolen from a vehicle in Hunters Ridge early April 10 when investigators allege he knew the weapon had been used by another man in a shooting incident in Brownsville that morning.

Lieberum said that man, Malcom King Washington, of Brownsville, was charged April 11 before Defino with illegal possession of a firearm and possession of an instrument of a crime after he shot Terrance McCoy, 21, of Brownsville.
