Thomas L. Stytzer, age 83, formerly of Willowick, Ohio, who was a guest at South Fayette Nursing Center in Markleysburg, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011 in the Uniontown Hospital.

He was born April 12, 1928 in Uniontown, son of the late Peter Staycer and Mary Simatic Staycer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Kazimer, Steve, John, Mike, Edward, George, Ann and Frances.

Tom was a retired machinist with T.R.W. Auto and a veteran of World War II serving with the United States Navy.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, today, August 2, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 until 9:30 a.m., when brief Prayers will be said in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the St. Procopius R.C. Church, New Salem with Rev. Father Peter L. Peretti officiating.

Interment will follow in Salem View Cemetery, New Salem, Pa.
