David P. Monaghan, age 68, of Uniontown, Pa. passed away August 1, 2011.

He was born March 16, 1943 in Uniontown, Pa., son of the late Edward and Margaret Button Monaghan.

David was a member of the Hutchinson Sportsman Club and was a retired Truck Driver for United Parcel Service.

Surviving are his wife, Eileen Slampak Monaghan; two children: Kelly Ballango and husband, Vincent and David Patrick Monaghan and wife, Keenan all of Uniontown, Pa.; grandchildren: Vincent L. Ballango, Elizabeth Eileen Ballango, Owen David Ballango, Ashley Monaghan and Emma Monaghan.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m and Thursday until 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church with Rev. Father Michael J. Crookston as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Mt. Macrina Cemetery.

Parish Wake Service will be held today.
