Pete Smargie, age 87 years, of Masontown, Pennsylvania passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011 in Mount Macrina Manor, Uniontown, Pennsylvania.

Friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, corner of Church and 7 River Avenue, Masontown, Pennsylvania today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.

Viewing will continue on Thursday, August 4, 2011 in SAINT GEORGE SERBIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH, 296 Old Route 21, Carmichaels, Pennsylvania from 9:30 a.m. until 10 a.m., the hour of the Service with Very Reverend Doctor Rodney Torbic officiating.

Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pennsylvania where Military Rites will be accorded by the Faith-Gray-McArdle Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4584 and American Legion Post 423.

Pomen Service will be held in the Funeral Home today, August 3, at 7:30 p.m.
