Sobriety checkpoint planned for Fayette
State police will conduct at least one sobriety checkpoint in Fayette County this month.
Sgt. Joseph D’Andrea said the checkpoint is just another way state police are committed to keeping area roads safe for motorists.
He said troopers will use the checkpoints to detect and arrest those who are impaired by either alcohol or drugs while operating vehicles.
D’Andrea reminded area motorists to be responsible and use a designated driver if alcohol consumption is planned.
