Community meeting planned to discuss illegal drug use
Residents from several communities, including Lemont Furnace, Mount Braddock and Youngstown have scheduled a meeting to discuss illegal drug activity in their neighborhoods.
Organizers said the meeting, set for 6 p.m. Thursday at the North Union Township Fire Department fire hall, is an attempt to bring added awareness to illegal drug trafficking in area communities.
The state police and members of the Fayette County Drug task Force also will be in attendance.
Organizers are urging anyone interested in helping to combat illegal drugs to attend.
Additionally, organizers are encouraging local churches to also get involved.
