Mountain Area Community Fair begins Monday

The Farmington Volunteer Fire Department announced they will again host the Mountain Area Community Fair beginning Monday.

Fire Chief Brian VanSickle, said the fair is an annual mountain tradition that is a family-oriented fun event open to all area residents.

He said that admission to the fair grounds is free and that doors will open around 6 p.m. daily.

He said that features of the fair include the annual parade on Route 381 at 7 p.m. Thursday and the annual demolition derby Saturday night.

VanSickle noted that rides, games and food as well as varying entertainment will be featured nightly.

The fair runs through Saturday night.
