Assault charges dismissed against Marianna man

By Josh Krysakheraldstandard.Com 1 min read

All charges were dismissed last month against a Marianna man accused of assaulting a Bentleyville woman outside her home July 7.

Southwest Regional police Chief John D. Hartman said Daniel Pasqualucci, 26, of 196 Dobbie Lane was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, harassment and disorderly conduct following the incident.

However, all charges against Pasqualucci were dismissed during a hearing later in July after the alleged victim failed to testify.

Hartman said the incident occurred shortly before 11 p.m. when Pasqualucci and Jessica Korcek, 22, got into an argument while inside a vehicle at Korcek’s home on Old West Road.

Korcek told police that Pasqualucci then physically threw her from the vehicle and also punched her in the face, Hartman said.

Hartman said that Korcek was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries allegedly suffered in the altercation.

The extent of her injuries was not released and it was not clear what sparked the altercation.
