Real estate company dismisses suit against Fayette County

1 min read

A Pittsburgh company that claimed they were deceived into buying property with a non-existent cellphone tower dismissed a suit against Fayette County and its tax claim bureau.

Last year, WRH Realty LLC claimed in a federal filing that they bought property in Lower Tyrone Township in 2008 that was supposed to have a cellphone tower on it. However, the property, purchased for $6,250 – inclusive of deed transfer fees, did not have one.

The company’s attorney, Robert O. Lampl filed a one-sentence notice of dismissal last week in federal court. The reason for the suit’s dismissal was not stated.

Lampl had alleged officials in the tax claim bureau knew there was no cell phone tower, but advertised it, and then held a tax sale on Oct. 28, 2008.
