James William Brown III, 54, died August 8, 2011.

Mr. Brown was a 1975 graduate of Jefferson-Morgan High School, served in the U.S. Army, the former owner of Brown’s Tavern in Nemacolin, a member of The Journey Church.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Wingard and a daughter, Patty Sue Brown.

Friends will be received from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2011, the hour of a Memorial Service in the BEHM FUNERAL HOMES INC., Jefferson.
