Route 21 traffic pattern to change
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 said there will be a shifting of traffic on Route 21 in Cumberland Township near Ceylon Road.
The traffic shift will begin at 7 a.m. Aug. 18 and will be in place through Sept. 2.
The traffic shift will be in place in order to allow for the replacement of the parapet on the bridge that carries Route 21 over Little Whiteley Creek.
The bridge work project is being performed by Allison Park Contracting of Allison Park.
Route 21 will have two lanes of traffic maintained throughout the time of the project with limited shoulder clearance. Motorists should slow down and drive with caution when entering the work area, officials said.
