Man charged with assault following alleged pistol whipping
A Uniontown man faces multiple charges after he allegedly pistol whipped another man who had lent him his vehicle.
Uniontown police Patrolman Ray Miller said Howard Foster, 33, of 69 Lawn Ave., Apt. 2, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, simple assault with a deadly weapon, terroristic threats, carrying a firearm without a license and receiving stolen property as a result of the incident, which occurred at Foster’s residence Sunday morning.
Miller said Thomas had a large bump on the left side of his head but that he refused medical treatment.
According to Miller, Thomas told police he and another man went to Foster’s apartment to retrieve Thomas’ vehicle after it was lent to Foster sometime Saturday.
Thomas reported that Foster became angry and that an argument ensued. Miller said that when Thomas went to leave, Foster allegedly pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot Thomas before hitting him in the head with the weapon.
Foster was taken into custody and placed in Fayette County Prison.
