Police find stolen snake while searching vehicle

One man was charged and charges are pending against another male after police say the two stole an exotic snake and a television from a South Union Township residence.

State police Trooper Keith C. Abels said James Hanan, 19, of Connellsville was arraigned on burglary-related charges after the snake was found in the vehicle used by Hanan and a 17-year-old boy.

Charges against the 17 year old are pending, Abels said.

According to Abels, the ball python was found inside the vehicle after a search warrant was acquired.
