Homestead man waives gun charges to court
A Homestead man accused of firing several shots into an occupied home in Uniontown June 11 waived all charges against him to court this afternoon.
Uniontown police said they took Amir D. Purifoy-Bey, 31, of 1405 Sylvan St. into custody immediately following the shooting, which occurred at 7:07?p.m. at the intersection of North Gallatin Avenue and West Askren Street.
Officer Jason Fidazzo said Purifoy-Bey was subsequently charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, carrying a firearm without a license, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.
During a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Michael M. Metros today, Purifoy-Bey waived all charges against him to Fayette County Court.
