Man headed for court in alleged theft of hospital donations

A Uniontown man accused of stealing a donation can to benefit Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh Aug. 10 will have his day in court.

Uniontown police Officer Travis Shandor said Robert Fleming Huey, 28, of 20 Pershing Court, Uniontown, was charged by Magisterial District Judge Michael M. Metros with theft and receiving stolen property following the incident.

Huey waived both charges against him to Fayette County Court during a preliminary hearing this afternoon before Metros.

According to Shandor, police were summoned to the Fayette County Courthouse for a reported theft of a donation can from the Sheriff’s Department shorlty after 9 a.m.
