One person shot in Masontown
MASONTOWN — One person suffered a gunshot wound to the head during an altercation that occurred Monday night in Masontown.
Officials said early reports were that an unidentified male suffered at least one gun shot wound to the head and was lying outside in a yard.
The shooting occurred around 9:45 p.m. in the area of Water Street and Spring Avenue.
Investigations appeared to be centered around a home on North Water Street.
Borough and state police responded.
According to officials, police were looking for a male believed to be the shooter late Monday.
The victim was taken by ambulance to the helipad at Uniontown Hospital and flown to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment.
No other information, including the victim’s identity, was available as of deadline Monday night.
