State police said they have secured a warrant for the arrest of a Uniontown man accused of sexually assaulting a South Union Township teenager on two occasions in July.

Magisterial District Judge Joseph M. George Jr. issued a warrant for the arrest of Eric David Love Sr., 23, of 167 E. Coffee St. on charges of statutory sexual assault and indecent assault.

Trooper Joseph Timms said the charges were filed against Love after he had sex with the 15-year-old girl on two occasions, July 20 and July 22, at the girl’s home while her parents were out.

Timms said that Love initially came to the residence to speak to the girl’s father but when he wasn’t home the teen invited him inside.

Once inside, Timms said Love and the girl began talking and he eventually asked her if she wanted to have sex.

She agreed and Love and the girl engaged in intercourse in the living room of the residence.

Two days later, Timms said Love returned and had sexual intercourse with the teen inside her bathroom.

HeraldStandard.com does not identify the alleged victims of sexual assault.

Anyone with information regarding Love’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 724-439-7111.
