The deputy warden of the Fayette County Prison is facing multiple charges after he crashed into a car in Uniontown, forced it from the road and then fled the scene.

Uniontown police Officer John Kauer said Barry A. Croftcheck, 40, of 496 Braddock Ave. was charged Thursday by Magisterial District Judge Michael M. Metros with a felony count of accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle and summary counts of failure to render aid and following too closely.

Kauer said the charges were filed after Kroftcheck crashed into a car driven by Timothy Durst on West Main Street at 9:24 a.m. Aug. 14.
