Velma Shelling

Velma Shelling, age 91 of Uniontown, Pa. and formerly of Brownsville, Pa., passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at her home.

She was born October 14, 1919 in Brownsville, P., the daughter of Catherine (Eiber) Horvath and John Horvath.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Emil Shelling, a sister Josephine Horvath and three brothers, Albert, John and ‘Speedy’.

Velma graduated from Brownsville High School. She worked as a cashier for KMart for many years. She was a member of First Christian Church of New Salem.

Velma is survived by two daughters: Diane Temoshenko of Allison Park, Pa. and Doris Jean Wingard of Virginia; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa.

There will be a graveside service on Monday, August 22, 2011 at 11 a.m. at LaFayette Memorial Park.
