Fayette County cancer victim’s wish comes true

By Heraldstandard.Com 1 min read

A trip to the Pro Football Hall of Fame was a wish come true for a Waltersburg man suffering from end-stage lung cancer.

John Bassin, 57, had his wish fulfilled by Unity, A Journey of Hope, which is run by John and Bobbi Robinson of Vanderbilt.

The Robinsons took Bassin to the Hall in Canton, Ohio, on Thursday and gave him tickets to a Pittsburgh Pirates game. .

Photographs and videos of Bassin, who was diagnosed in March, at the Hall are meant to be given to his grandchildren so they can recall their grandfather.

Unity, A Journey of Hope is a non-profit charity that grants wishes to adults with life-limiting illnesses. Unity’s website is www.unityajourneyofhope.org.
