Robbery charges were dismissed today against a Uniontown couple accused of a daytime heist at a grocery store in South Union Township earlier this month.

State police Trooper Andrew Prizzi said Christopher E. Mills, 38, was charged before Magisterial District Judge Joseph M. George Jr. with aggravated assault, robbery, criminal conspiracy to commit robbery, retail theft, criminal conspiracy to commit retail theft, disorderly conduct and harassment.

His alleged conspirator, Amy Lynn Agnew, 39, was charged with criminal conspiracy to commit robbery and retail theft.

During a preliminary hearing before George today, prosecutors amended the complaint filed against Mills and withdrew the aggravated assault charge and replaced it with charges of simple assault and conspiracy to commit simple assault.
