Man pleads guilty to resisting arrest

1 min read

A Uniontown man will serve a term of probation for resisting arrest when Masontown police tried to take him into custody following a domestic dispute in March.

Christopher Durst, 35, of Braddock Avenue entered a guilty plea to that lone charge on Thursday in Fayette County Court.

Police said that Durst threatened a woman at a home on Water Street, and when authorities showed up, he was combative with police. Durst was initially charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and terroristic threats, but those charges were all dismissed at the preliminary hearing level.

President Judge Gerald R. Solomon will sentence Durst next month.
