Brownsville woman beaten, robbed
State police said they are investigating after a Brownsville woman was assaulted and robbed in Luzerne Township on Friday.
Trooper Tim Maloney said Alisha Brown, 19, was assaulted while she was walking near the village of Maxwell.
Maloney said Brown was jumped by six women, who assaulted her and then stole her purse.
It is not clear what prompted the attack or if Brown knows any of the alleged suspects.
Police said anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call police at 724-437-9111.
