Carmichaels library offers computer classes

CARMICHAELS — The Flenniken Public Library is offering free computer classes in September. Since space is limited, participants must pre-register by calling 724-966-5263, or by stopping by the library.

The computer classes offered for the month of September are:

n Using a Mouse, Sept. 8 — Learn how to manipulate a mouse and some of the keyboard keys. It should be taken before any other class, unless the participant has prior computer experience. This class will run from 1 to 2 p.m.

n Microsoft Vista, Sept. 15 — Learn how to use the basics of Microsoft Vista. This class will run from 1 to 2 p.m.

n Beginning Internet, Sept. 22 — Learn how to get online and find the information you need. This class will run from 1 to 2 p.m.

n Microsoft Word 2007, Sept. 29 — Learn how to use Word to write letters and reports. This class will run from 1 to 2 p.m.

Library hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

The library provides free tutoring for K-12 students with a state certified teacher. Call to register.
