Red Cross blood drive staff threatens to strike

A possible strike by American Red Cross union employees could cause a reduction in the number of blood drives in the area, but ARC disaster response and preparedness operations will not be affected, officials said.

Earlier this week, representatives for Communications Workers of America Local 13000 sent notice of a possible strike that would begin at 12:01 a.m. Sept. 16.
