Give-A-Christmas total stands at $7,740
HeraldStandard.com readers are continuing to respond to the Give-A-Christmas campaign to help local residents in need through the Salvation Army. The latest donations amount to $1,265, raising the total to $7,740.
The contributions included a generous gift by an individual with donations coming from throughout the readership area, including New Salem, Uniontown, Dunbar, Brownsville, Connellsville, Lemont Furnace and East Millsboro.
“It’s so great to see people who care about their neighbors responding to this cause,” said Sparkle, the Christmas star, who is mascot for the campaign. “But remember, we need a lot of people to get involved in order to reach our goal of raising $40,000 for the Salvation Army.”
