Raymond M. Dean
Raymond Martin Dean, 82 of Monongahela, died Tuesday, November 29, 2011 in the Monongahela Valley Hospital.
He was born December 10, 1928 in Masontown, the son of Martin Raymond and Violet Hoak Dean.
Mr. Dean retired in 2007 as the golf course superintendent at the Monongahela Valley Country Club after sixty four years of employment. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Greater Pittsburgh Golf Course Association.
He is survived by two daughters: Deborah Dean (Kent) of North Charleroi; Deanna and husband Don May with whom he made his home; grandchildren: Michael and Kaitlyn May and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Vukich Dean who died April 3, 1997 and his sister, Betty Wilson Woods. Friends will be received on Thursday, December 1 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, December 2, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the FRYE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. John Fierro officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
