FCCAA to hold pre-purchase housing seminar
Residents who are interested in buying a home are encouraged to pre-register for a housing seminar offered by Fayette County Community Action Agency Inc. (FCCAA).
The pre-purchase housing seminar will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, on the second floor of FCCAA’s Family Service Center located at 140 N. Beeson Blvd., Uniontown.
“The seminar is open to anyone who is interested in buying a home,” said Rita Masi, FCCAA’s housing project manager.
“Those who attend will have an opportunity to find out important information that will help them make decisions about finding and choosing a home and what type of mortgage is right for them,” she added.
“Masi said lenders and realtors will discuss topics, such as the advantage of homeownership; budget planning and record keeping; mortgage qualifying; the beginning of the purchase process; the loan application process; and closing on the loan.
“Local realtors and representatives from PNC Bank and First Federal Savings & Loan Association will make presentations during the event.
“This is a great opportunity for people who are interested in buying a home to find out about the process and receive tips from people in the real estate and banking industry,” Masi said. “There are no income guidelines, so anyone is eligible to attend the program.”
“For more information or to pre-register for the seminar, call Masi at 724-437-6050, extension 3247.
