By Heraldstandard.Com 1 min read

A South Connellsville man will stand trial after police allege he sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl in Connellsville in early October.

Connellsville police Detective Lt. Kenneth Jaynes reported that Christopher J. Parrill, 19, of 224 Vine St. was charged before Magisterial District Judge Ronald J. Haggerty Jr. with statutory sexual assault and corruption of minors.

Haggerty held both charges against Parrill for Fayette County Court following a preliminary hearing Thursday afternoon.

According to a criminal complaint filed by Jaynes, the charges were filed after Parrill had sexual intercourse with the 14-year-old in a wooded area near Falcon Stadium on Oct. 5.

HeraldStandard.com does not identify the victims of alleged sexual assault.

Parrill remains free on $10,000 unsecured bond.
