Give-A-Christmas total continues to climb
The 2011 Give-A-Christmas fund continues to climb with $420 in new donations added to make the total $8,160.
“We’re so happy to see people continue to give,” said Sparkle, the Christmas star, who is mascot for the campaign. “Remember that we want to raise $40,000 for the Salvation Army to help those in need in our area. By donating to Give-A-Christmas, you are helping your neighbors, and this is a wonderful time of year to do that.”
The latest donors include Paul Zasadny, in honor of mother Jean Zasadny, Wickhaven; Jeffrey Strauch and Dr. Margaret Swinker and Kent and Tayler Strauch, in memory of grandmother Mabel Kikta and grandfather/father Frank Strauch, Uniontown; Carl Rossi, in memory of Ann Sages, Uniontown; Alice Garden, Uniontown; and Eleanor Lee Slick, Brownsville.
“Thank you so much for your generosity,” said Sparkle. “We appreciate every one of these donations and the people who make them happen.”
Donations to the campaign will continue to be received until noon Friday, Dec. 23.
The final amount raised will be reported in the Christmas Day edition of HeraldStandard.com.
Donations for the campaign can be mailed to Give-A-Christmas, P.O. Box 1147, Uniontown, PA 15401, or brought to the HeraldStandard.com office in Uniontown during business hours.
