Police seek man accused of firing gun in Uniontown
The brother of a Uniontown man wanted for shooting another man four times Wednesday, is now wanted himself after he fired a single round from a handgun during a dispute in Uniontown Thursday, police said.
Uniontown police Sgt. Wayne Brown said police secured a warrant for the arrest of Kenneth M. Johnson, 27, of 89 Millview St. on charges including illegal possession of a firearm, recklessly endangering another person, terroristic threats, simple assault and disorderly conduct.
Brown said the warrant was issued by Magisterial District Judge Michael M. Metros after Johnson fired a single round from a handgun during a dispute with William Smith of Uniontown at a location in Pershing Court.
The warrant for Johnson’s arrest was issued one day after Uniontown police Detective Donald M. Gmitter secured a warrant for the arrest of Johnson’s brother, Jeffrey Lamont Johnson, 30, of 36 Collins Ave., Uniontown, on charges including attempted homicide, aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, illegal possession of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault and simple assault with a deadly weapon.
