Suspect who escaped police in Redstone surrenders

By Josh Krysak heraldstandard.Com 1 min read

A LaBelle man who escaped from police custody Sunday evening in Redstone Township surrendered himself to police this morning because he was “tired of running.”

State police said they took Terry Lee Murphy, 23, of 745 Maxwell Ave. into custody on a local farm after Murphy showed up at the farmer’s home and requested he call police. He was still in handcuffs from his arrest Sunday evening and told the farmer that he was “tired of running,” police said.

Murphy had been taken into custody by Redstone Township police following a traffic stop in the township at 6:50 p.m. Sunday after police learned he was wanted on a felony robbery warrant issued in May.
