Michael Shimko Applause

The Uniontown Rotary Club has honored Michael Shimko of New Salem, a senior at Uniontown Area High School, as a student of the month for October 2011.

The son of Michael and Terry Shimko, he is undecided which post-secondary school he will attend, but plans to study chemistry.

Shimko is involved in National Honor Society, Academic League, Science Olympiad, math team, Module U.N. and track and field.
