State police are looking for a Connellsville man, convicted of rape in 1995, who registered a fake address with law enforcement as part of his registration requirements under Megan’s Law.

Michael Ray Ritenour, 43, faces a single count of failure to comply with registration of sexual offenders.

Trooper Heather L. Clem alleged that Ritenour previously registered an address of 110 Whipkey Road in Connellsville, which did not exist.

He also did not show up to register between Sept. 18 and 27, as required by law, Clem indicated.

When the state’s Megan’s Law Section in Harrisburg sent a letter to Ritenour to remind him to report, it was sent back “return to sender, no such number, unable to forward,” Clem said in an arrest affidavit.

According to the state’s Megan’s Law website, Ritenour is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. He has green eyes and brown hair, and bears a scar on his right hand.

His initial registration date was in 2005, and his last registration with police was in July.

Court records show that he was charged with rape, statutory rape and aggravated indecent assault related to an incident in 1992. In 1995, court records show that Ritenour pleaded guilty in the case, but his sentence was not listed on an online docket.

Anyone with information on Ritenour’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 724-439-7111.
