HeraldStandard.com readers contributed $2,412 in their latest donations, raising the total to $14,075 in the Give-A-Christmas campaign that benefits the Salvation Army.

The donations included a $1,500 check from the Hopwood Villagers, which was presented to the campaign Saturday during the community’s Winter Fest. Other groups giving donations included Springdale’s Classy Ladies Golf League, Uniontown; and UNI’s Sparkle Fund at HeraldStandard.com.

“That’s fantastic!” said Sparkle, the Christmas star, who is campaign mascot. “We appreciate the generosity of the people of Hopwood and these groups as we appreciate all our donations. We know they come from people who care about their communities.”
