Second robbery of elderly man
Less than 10 days after an unidentified woman bit an elderly Uniontown man and then robbed him outside a Uniontown bar, police said the woman has assaulted and robbed the man a second time.
Uniontown police Officer Jamie Holland said Joseph Cope, 76, of Uniontown was asleep inside his home on Railroad Street shortly before 4 a.m. when he was awakened to find two women standing over top of him while he was in his bed.
Holland said that one of the women remained standing by Cope while the second woman began ransacking his bedroom.
Cope told police that when he attempted to get out of bed the woman, whom Cope identified as the same woman who attacked and robbed him Dec. 4, began to punch him in the face repeatedly.
