1 min read

A Marianna woman is behind bars after Southwest Regional police picked her up on a warrant for allegedly burglarizing a home and assaulting an occupant.

Carrie Gallagher, 20 of 520 4th St. was picked up by police on Tuesday, and is charged with burglary, criminal trespass, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct in connection with an alleged break-in on Oct. 16 at the Spring Street home of Donna Ziemba in Coal Center.

Police alleged Gallagher entered Ziemba’s home “without permission” and assaulted Ziemba, 42, when she pushed her backwards into a stove. Police also alleged that Gallagher created a disturbance on Spring Street when officers arrived.

Gallagher was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Joshua Kanalis and was remanded to the Washington County Prison in lieu of $1,000 straight cash bond. She will have a preliminary hearing at a later date.
