Steve Despot, Jr.
Steve Despot, Jr., age 88 of Low Hill, Pa., died Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at his home.
He was born on September 28, 1923 in Denbo, Pa., the son of the late Steve Despot, Sr. and Marija (Ondler) Despot.
He was a Member of the Taylor United Methodist Church and the UMWA. He worked 44 years in Gateway Coal Mine. He was a coal miner and lifelong farmer.
Steve is survived by his wife Garnet P. (McCann) Despot; two sons: William Despot and wife Susan of Low Hill, Pa. and James Despot of Low Hill, Pa.; four grandchildren: Lauren, Jillian and Steven Despot and Dustin and fiance Stephanie Doriguzzi; sister Dolores Bradmon and husband Clarence of Uniontown, Pa.; and sisters-in-law: Ann and Audrey Despot.
He was predeceased by sister and brothers: Mary, Victor, Vincent, John, Joseph and Walter.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park St. Brownsville PA on Thursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Larry Corner officiating. Interment to follow in Westland Cemetery.
