Leocadia (Loretta) Kapella, 87 of Trotter, died Wednesday, December 14 at Mt. St. Macrina Manor, Uniontown. She was born November 8, 1924 in Trotter, a daughter of the late Maciej (Matthew) and Maryanne Pavlosky Kapella. She was a loving homemaker who cared for her family for many years. During WWII, she worked for Christy Park, McKeesport and Anchor Hocking Glass, South Connellsville. She was a member of the former Holy Trinity R.C. Church and a current member of St John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Connellsville.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Agnes Slominsky, Praxeda Towns, Laura Reves, Helen Trocheck and Veronica Kapella and four brothers, Leon, Chester, Frank and Stanley F. Kapella.

Family and friends will be received Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME INC., 418 N. Pittsburgh St., Connellsville, where Prayers of Transfer will be held Monday at 10 a.m. A funeral mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist RC Church, Connellsville with the Rev. Fr. Joseph Bonafed as celebrant. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Connellsville.
